Tominos PDF is a PDF reading, viewing, organization, and document utility application. This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of Tominos PDF (referred to as “Tominos PDF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application, desktop application, website, support channels, or related services.

Our basic approach is simple: we collect the information needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve Tominos PDF; we do not need to know the contents of your documents merely for you to read or manage them locally; and we do not sell your personal information. Features that require a network connection, such as cloud synchronization, document conversion, account support, payments, crash reporting, or optional analytics, may involve additional processing described below.

This document is intended to be clear and practical. It should be read together with the way Tominos PDF is actually built, configured, and operated.

1. Scope and acceptance

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through Tominos PDF and the services that link to this policy. It does not apply to websites, applications, operating systems, cloud storage providers, app stores, payment processors, or other services operated by third parties, even if Tominos PDF links to them. Those services have their own privacy notices and terms.

By installing, accessing, or using Tominos PDF, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the service. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular processing activity, we will request that consent separately. You may withdraw consent at any time using the method described in the relevant feature or by contacting us.

Some product features may display an additional notice at the time information is collected. That notice supplements this policy. If a feature-specific notice conflicts with this policy, the more specific notice controls for that feature.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Tominos PDF, which features you enable, the settings on your device, and the choices you make. We try to collect only what is reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Account information. If Tominos PDF supports accounts, we may collect your name or display name, email address, login credentials or authentication identifiers, profile preferences, and account creation or verification details.
• Support and communications. When you contact us, we may collect your email address, the contents of your message, attachments that you choose to send, screenshots, device or application details that you include, and our correspondence with you.
• Transactions. If you purchase a subscription, license, or in-app product, we may receive transaction status, product identifier, purchase date, renewal status, country or region, and an app-store-provided transaction identifier. Payment card numbers and banking credentials are normally handled by the relevant payment provider rather than by us.
• Feedback and surveys. We may collect ratings, reviews, survey responses, feature requests, and other information you voluntarily provide.
• Content submitted for an online feature. If you voluntarily upload a PDF or another file to a feature that requires server processing, we collect the file and associated instructions for the period needed to provide that feature.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and application information. This may include device model, operating system and version, language, time zone, screen size, app version, installation source, network type, and approximate region inferred from settings or an IP address.
• Identifiers. We may use an installation identifier, account identifier, subscription identifier, or a resettable advertising or analytics identifier where permitted and enabled. We do not use a device identifier to identify you across unrelated services for advertising unless the required permission or legal basis exists.
• Usage information. We may receive information about app launches, screens or features opened, settings changed, button interactions, document-management actions, performance events, and whether a feature succeeded or failed. Where feasible, usage events are designed to describe the action without including document text.
• Log and diagnostic information. Our systems may record timestamps, request IDs, IP addresses, error messages, stack traces, network response codes, and security events. We use this information to operate the service, investigate abuse, and diagnose failures.
• Approximate location. We may infer a broad location from an IP address or device region for security, localization, tax, service availability, and analytics. Tominos PDF does not require precise GPS location for ordinary PDF functions. If a future feature requests precise location, it will ask for permission and provide a separate explanation.

2.3 Information from other sources

We may receive limited information from app stores, identity providers, payment processors, cloud-storage providers, analytics or crash-reporting providers, and fraud-prevention services. For example, an app store may tell us that a purchase was completed, or an identity provider may confirm that authentication succeeded. We use that information according to this policy and the provider’s own terms.

3. Your PDF files and document content

Tominos PDF is designed to let you read, view, search, annotate, organize, export, and otherwise work with PDF files. The files you open may contain highly private information, including names, addresses, financial records, medical information, legal documents, school records, business materials, or other sensitive content. You remain responsible for deciding which files to open, import, upload, share, or delete.

Local processing. When a feature works locally on your device, the PDF file and its content remain on your device except where your operating system, backup provider, file provider, sharing action, or another enabled integration separately transfers them. We do not receive the file simply because you opened it in the local version of Tominos PDF.

Optional online processing. Some features may require an upload, such as cloud synchronization, online conversion, text extraction, AI-assisted document functions, remote rendering, collaboration, or support diagnostics. Before such a transfer, the app should identify that network processing is required. We process the uploaded content to provide the requested feature, protect the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve support issues where appropriate.

Document metadata. A PDF may contain author names, creation dates, software names, embedded links, comments, hidden layers, attachments, document properties, or other metadata. Tominos PDF may read or preserve this metadata as part of normal PDF functionality. If you export or share a file, metadata may travel with it. Review the document before sharing it.

Search and indexing. To provide fast search, thumbnails, recent-file lists, bookmarks, or text extraction, Tominos PDF may create indexes, previews, temporary files, or cached copies on your device. You can remove these by deleting the relevant file, clearing the app’s data or cache where your platform allows, or uninstalling the app. Device backups may retain copies according to your device provider’s settings.

Shared devices. If other people can access your device, user account, files, backups, or screen, they may be able to access documents opened with Tominos PDF. Use your device’s passcode, account controls, encryption, and file permissions. Tominos PDF cannot protect a file after you intentionally export it to an unprotected location.

Unless expressly stated for a particular feature, we do not use the textual content of your local documents to build advertising profiles, sell information, or train general-purpose models. If a feature would materially change this practice, we will provide a prominent notice and, where required, obtain consent before enabling it.

4. How we use information

We may use information for the following purposes:

1. To provide core PDF functions, maintain your preferences, synchronize data when requested, and deliver features you choose.
2. To create, administer, authenticate, secure, and recover an account where accounts are offered.
3. To process purchases, verify entitlements, manage subscriptions, issue receipts, prevent payment abuse, and provide customer support.

9. To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; enforce agreements; protect the rights, safety, and property of users, Tominos PDF, and others; and respond to emergencies.
10. To create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you, and to use that information for analytics, security, planning, and product improvement.

We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes unrelated to providing or securing the service unless we give a legally required notice and obtain any required permission. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you through ordinary use of Tominos PDF.

5. Legal bases for processing

If the General Data Protection Regulation, the United Kingdom GDPR, or a similar law applies, our legal basis depends on the processing activity and context. We may process information because:

• it is necessary to perform a contract with you, such as providing the app, an account, a paid feature, or support;

Tominos PDF may depend on third parties for app distribution, payments, authentication, hosting, storage, crash diagnostics, analytics, customer support, advertising, or integrations. A third party may collect information directly from your device under its own privacy policy. The availability and identity of providers can change as the service develops.

The app store through which you download Tominos PDF may process purchase, device, account, and diagnostic information. If you subscribe, the store’s billing terms and privacy notice apply to its processing. If you use a cloud provider or share sheet, that provider receives the file or information you choose to send. Local files, indexes, previews, and caches are generally controlled by your device and app settings. Deleting a document from Tominos PDF may not delete copies stored in your file system, recycle bin, cloud drive, operating-system backup, email, exported location, or another application. Check each location separately.

If you delete an account, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize account information, subject to information that we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or accounting purposes. Backups may persist for a limited period before being overwritten or securely deleted. Information that has been irreversibly anonymized may be retained.

10. Security

We may ask for additional information to prevent fraud. We will not use verification information for unrelated purposes.

Authorized agents may submit a request where permitted by law. We may require proof of authorization and may verify the request directly with you. If we deny a request, we will explain the reason where required and provide an appeal process where applicable. You may also complain to the data protection authority or privacy regulator in your country, state, or region.

You can unsubscribe from promotional messages by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us. You may still receive transactional, security, service, and account messages. You can control notifications through the app or device settings.

Tominos PDF may request access to files, photos, storage, camera, microphone, notifications, or other device features only when a function needs it. The exact permissions depend on your platform and the feature you use. The app does not need access to your entire file library for ordinary viewing if your platform provides a document picker; however, selecting a file may grant the app access to that file according to the platform’s rules.

14. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain sessions, protect forms, measure performance, and understand website use. Essential technologies may be required for the site to function. Where required, we will request consent before placing non-essential technologies.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, our cookie preference tool. Blocking cookies may affect login, language settings, forms, or other website functions. The mobile or desktop application may use local storage, app identifiers, and operating-system services instead of browser cookies.

15. Additional regional information

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are in these regions, you may have the rights described in Section 11. You may contact our data-protection contact at privacy@tominospdf.online. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California and other United States states

Subject to applicable thresholds and exemptions, residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, limit sensitive personal information, and avoid unlawful discrimination. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose identifiers, commercial information, internet or app activity, and support information to service providers for the business purposes described in this policy. We do not use sensitive information beyond permitted service and security purposes unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Canada

Canadian users may have rights to access and correct personal information and to withdraw consent, subject to legal limits. We will explain the purpose of collection when required and will use information only for identified or compatible purposes.

Other jurisdictions

Additional rights or notices may apply under local law. We will honor those rights to the extent required. If a local law requires a different retention period, transfer safeguard, complaint route, or representative, that requirement controls.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Tominos PDF changes, laws develop, our providers change, or we improve our explanations. We will publish the new version with a new “Last updated” date. Tominos PDF should keep this policy consistent with its production code, SDK configuration, data flows, contracts, app-store disclosures, and the countries in which the service is offered. If the service changes, this policy should be updated promptly.
